Larry Rice
Larry Rice1 is certified as a
Family Law Trial Advocate by the National Board
of Trial Advocacy and certified as a Family Law
Specialist by the Tennessee Board of Specialization.
Mr. Rice has lectured at six American
Bar Association conventions. He has lectured
to lawyers in Tennessee, New York, Georgia, Arkansas,
Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, Louisiana,
New Jersey, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada,
California, New Jersey, Washington, Massachusetts,
Alabama, California, Ohio, and Canada on many
occasions on topics from Law Office Management
to Ethics to Trial Practice.
He authored Divorce
Practice in Tennessee, The Effective Ethical
Lawyer, and The Complete Guide
to Divorce Practice: Forms and Procedures for
Lawyers 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions. He served on the Editorial Board
of the Matrimonial Strategist and has contributed
articles on trial tactics, AIDS, and other topics.

He was the founding
Chairperson of the Divorce and Family Law Section
of the Memphis Bar Association and co-founder
of the Family Law Section of the Tennessee Bar
Association.
A graduate with distinction and
honors from Rhodes College, Mr. Rice holds a
B.A. in communication arts and history. He was a British Studies student
at University College, Oxford, England, and completed
the American Trial Lawyer Association National
College of Advocacy.

Amy
J. Amundsen
Amy J. Amundsen is a fellow of
the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
She is also board certified as a Family Law Specialist
by both the National Board of Trial Advocacy
and the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal
Education and Specialization. She is certified
by the Supreme Court of Tennessee to serve as
a Rule 31 Mediator in the field of Family law.
Ms. Amundsen is a native of Pennsylvania,
where she graduated Cum Laude from Dickinson
College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and graduated
from the University of Memphis School of Law
in 1987. She is a Partner with the Memphis law
firm of Rice, Amundsen & Caperton, PLLC.
Ms. Amundsen
is a Master member and currently serves as
Secretary Treasurer of the Leo Bearman, Sr.
American Inn of Court. She is immediate past
president of the Memphis Bar Association
(2008). Ms. Amundsen has served as President
of the University of Memphis Law Alumni Chapter
(2006-2007), President of the Tennessee Bar
Association Family Law Section (2005-2006)
and (1995-1996), President of the Memphis
Bar Association Family Law Section (1992-1993),
and serves as chair of the Tennessee Bar
Association Publication Alimony Benchbook
and member of Code Commission. Ms. Amundsen
was an Adjunct Professor of Family Law at
the University of Memphis Law School (2002-2003).
She is a fellow of the American, Tennessee
and Memphis Bar Foundation.
Ms. Amundsen
is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International
and a recipient of the AWA Marion Griffin Francis
Loring Award for her outstanding contributions
to women in the legal profession.
In addition,
she has written several articles for national
publications; such as the Matrimonial
Strategist and the Wiley publications
and has lectured for the American Bar Association,
National Business Institute, Tennessee Bar
Association and the Memphis Bar Association
on various topics pertaining to domestic
law. Ms. Amundsen lectures to local schools,
libraries, and community centers on topics
covering domestic violence, divorce, legal
separation, spousal and child support, custody,
and property distribution.

Coble Caperton
Coble Caperton is a graduate
of Rhodes College and The University of Memphis
Cecil C. Humphry School of Law. Mr. Caperton
received his B.A. from Rhodes College in
1973. He graduated from the Cecil C. Humphreys
School of Law at the University of Memphis
in 1979. Caperton was licensed to practice
in 1980 and has been a civil and criminal
litigator for almost 30 years. In 2001, Caperton
joined with Rice and Amundsen to practice
civil and criminal litigation, mediation,
environmental law and family law. Caperton
has represented businesses and individuals
in a wide range of legal disputes in the
Federal and State courts of Tennessee, Mississippi,
New York and Arkansas.
Mr. Caperton is a member of
the Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations,
having served on the Board of Directors of
the Memphis Bar Association for two terms.
He has served on numerous committees of the
Memphis Bar Association and is currently
co-chairman of the Judicial Practices and
Procedures Committee. He conducts applicant
interviews for the Tennessee Board of Law
Examiners and is a hearing officer for the
Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility
of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. Mr. Caperton
is also a Rule 31 General Civil mediator.

Nick Rice
Nick Rice, formally known as
George Lawrence Rice, IV, is a third generation
attorney following in the footsteps of his grandfather
and father.
Mr. Rice first started studying
the law when he began working for the firm in
seventh grade. He graduated Christian Brothers
High School where he served 4 years on Honor
Council.
Mr. Rice graduated from The University
of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology
in 2000. He returned to Memphis to attend law
school and continued working at the firm. Mr.
Rice received his J.D. from the University of
Memphis Cecil C. Humphry School of Law in 2003.
Because of his extensive training,
he practiced law immediately after passing the
bar. Following in his father’s
footsteps, he has also presented Continuing Legal
Education lectures. He is widely considered to
be the best young divorce lawyer.
In 2001 Mr.
Rice, with the help of two friends, founded a
yearly charitable fund raiser. It has distributed
grants to several local charities. |

Jennifer Leigh Bellott
Jennifer Leigh Bellott
is a 2008 graduate of the Cecil C. Humphrey
School of Law. Ms. Bellott grew up in Memphis
and attended high school at St. Mary's Episcopal
School. She received her B.A. in 2005 from
McGill University in Montreal, Quebec Canada.
During law school, Ms. Bellott was named the National Best Advocate in the 2008 ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition, the award given to the best oral advocate in the national competition. She also served as the Associate Justice for the 2007 Advanced Moot Court Competition and as an Associate Editor for the University of Memphis Law Review. Her committment to excellence mirrors the Rice Team's commitment to the practice of family law.
